The firm was originally established by Dr. Juan Fairhurst and, in 1969, Dr. Héctor Ricardo Pisarenko Blanco joined as partner, shaping the firm’s current identity and expanding its reach.

OUR PROFESSIONALS

Dr. Hector Ricardo Pisarenko Blanco

Dr. Pisarenko earned his law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1969 and joined the firm that same year. He held teaching positions in Civil Law at the University of Buenos Aires, first as a teaching assistant under Professor Federico Videla Escalada and later as a tenured lecturer for over a decade. He also served in the judiciary as an Inspector Delegate at the Juvenile Criminal Court.

Dr. Nicolas Pisarenko

A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires (1996), Dr. Pisarenko is a partner at the firm and focuses primarily on corporate and transactional matters. He is also a board member and executive of several companies, including:

Hillock Capital Management S.A., an investment platform for agribusiness and forestry operations in Argentina and Uruguay  

Proforsa S.A., a regional distributor of forestry products representing global brands

Dr. Juan F. Mendizabal Frers

Dr. Mendizabal holds a law degree from Torcuato Di Tella University (2002) and an LL.M. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2007). He joined Fairhurst & Pisarenko as a partner in 2016. Before that, he served as Legal Director of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Nidera’s Seeds Division, and represented the plant breeding industry on Argentina’s National Seed Commission from 2013 to 2016. Dra. Romina A. Valenzisi

Dr. Valenzisi is a senior associate specializing in civil and labor law. She received her law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2008 and participated in the University’s legal clinic focused on children’s rights. From 2011 to 2013, she served as external counsel to Argentina’s Superintendency of Occupational Risks.

Paula Estevez

Paula Estevez is a Public Accountant with experience in tax advisory, accounting supervision, and financial reporting at FYP Consultores and SKF Uruguay S.A. She holds an MBA and a Public Accountant degree from the University of the Republic, as well as a postgraduate degree in international taxation from the University of Montevideo.

Maria Ruffolo

María Ruffolo is a Lawyer with experience as an independent attorney and in various areas of ANSES, specializing in corporate law and case management. She graduated in Business Law from the University of Buenos Aires
